Paris Haute Couture Week 2024 kicked off a summer of spectacular events in the City of Lights, especially for fashion lovers! Creative designs, theatrical runways, and exquisite craftsmanship radiated as the top luxury fashion brands of the FHCM showcased their Fall 2024 / Winter 2025 haute couture fashion creations. Read on for fashion art to love!
Zuhair Murad
The use of beautiful precious materials is one of the many things we love about haute couture. In Zuhair Murad’s Fall/Winter 2024/25 collection, among the many embellishments, pearls were seen meticulously stitched to many of the stunning garments like in the look below. A trend we saw across the Autumn/Winter 24/25 Haute Couture collections, and one we love!
Elie Saab
A forever LH favorite, Elie Saab’s creations for the Autumn 2024/Winter 2025 season featured exquisite details and embellishments galore. Gems, pearls, lace, embroidery, feathers, beads, you name it—this season, Elie Saab’s expertise in the realm of savoir-faire shone bright.
Schiaparelli
The creative forces of Schiaparelli are beyond words! This season, creative director Daniel Roseberry showcased works of fashion art we cannot get enough of. Striking silhouettes, unique material combinations, whimsical inspirations, and brilliant craftsmanship define the Schiaparelli Fall/Winter 24/25 Haute Couture collection.
Peet Dullaert
Dutch fashion designer Peet Dullaert’s Haute Couture FW 24/25 collection featured beautiful layering and draping of textiles. Accented with unique adornments and surprising details such as paint splatters. The collection created a runway filled with artistic personality, living and breathing couture.
Thom Browne
American designer Thom Browne brought his stunning savoir-faire to Paris Haute Couture Week! Theater and fashion art traveled the runway as the collection unfolded. Whites and neutrals took center stage with pops of gold, silver, and bronze details. Angular cuts, floral and fauna, and boundary-testing designs made Thom Browne one of our seasonal favorites.
Christian Dior
Dior’s annual Haute Couture runway event at Musée Rodin radiated Roman vibes with gladiator sandals and toga-esque draping. Silhouettes rather than embellishments were the stars of Dior’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 24/25 collection.
Chanel
With its former creative director Virginie Viard (Karl Lagerfeld’s understudy who took over after his death) no longer at the helm, Chanel came to Paris for couture week with an as-always beautiful collection, but the magic of fashion art and creativity perhaps not fully at play.
Rahul Mishra
A bold black, white, and gray color palette dominated Rahul Mishra’s Autumn/Winter 24/25 Haute Couture collection. Inspired by celestial energies, sequined faces in 3D were throughout the lineup of looks, as were brimless caps and capes.
Iris Van Herpen
The crossover between fashion and art is always present during Haute Couture Week. For the Fall/Winter 2024-2025 season, Iris Van Herpen played with this concept even further with the Hybrid Show. A collection of nine stunning works of fashion art worn by live models hanging as ariel sculptures on the walls as an art exhibition.
Georges Hobeika
From immaculate beaded embroidery to artistic cuts, 3D forms, black and white classics, and a rainbow of colors, Georges Hobeika’s FW 24-25 collection is another showcase of fashion art.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Nicolas Di Felice, the artistic director of Courrèges, served as this year’s guest designer for Jean Paul Gaultier’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024/25 show. Known as a modern master of sexy minimalism, Nicolas Di Felice delivered a series of statement looks to love.
Stephane Rolland
Classic black and white dominated Stephane Rolland’s Autumn/Winter Haute Couture collection. Bold shapes and sleek, sexy cuts paired with oversized hoods and drapes of fabric for an overall striking runway.
Giorgio Armani Prive
“Serene in their beauty, pearls are historically associated with the moon, water, wisdom, purity, and love,” said Giorgio Armani of his Privé Fall/Winter 2024 Haute Couture collection. Set against black velvet, embroidered en-mass, in a woven mesh, and beyond, pearls appeared throughout, in each case radiating the beauty of the gemstone. Read here for more about our love for pearls!
Aelis
Fashion sculptor Sofia Crociani worked her magic for Aelis’s FW Haute Couture collection. Masterful fabric folds, unique cuts, and the simplest of adornments unite in a marvelous collection of fashion art.
Ashi Studio
Drama beamed from Mohammad Ashi’s Autumn/Winter Haute Couture 2024-25 runway appearance. The collection boasted sculptural forms and out-of-the-box artistry.
